Phlebotomy Instructor – Part-Time

About the role

West Georgia Technical College is seeking a part‑time Phlebotomy Instructor to deliver classroom and clinical instruction for its accredited health‑science programs. The instructor will develop curriculum, evaluate student progress, and maintain program accreditation while teaching Venipuncture and Clinical Practice courses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and curriculum for credited technical courses.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to meet learning objectives.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and budget requests for the phlebotomy program.
• Ensure safety, security, and accreditation requirements are met.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement activities, and attend professional development events.

Required profile

• Current Phlebotomy Certificate or a diploma/degree in a related health‑science field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technology) with active certification.
• Preferred certifications such as MLT (ASCP), MT, or MLS (ASCP).
• Teaching experience in post‑secondary education and extensive field experience in phlebotomy.
