Pharmacy Technician IV – Specialty Infusion

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Pharmacy Technician IV to join its Specialty Infusion team. This full‑time, onsite position supports the preparation and dispensing of specialty infusion medications for inpatient and outpatient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and specialty infusion products in accordance with USP <967> standards.
• Verify medication orders, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain documentation.
• Manage inventory of infusion supplies, perform restocking, and monitor expiration dates.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient therapy.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Provide concierge prescription delivery services on the main campus when required.

Required profile

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in specialty infusion or sterile compounding preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
