Pharmacy Technician – Full-time (40 hrs/week)

About the role

Join Kindred Hospital Chicago – North as a Pharmacy Technician working 40 hours per week on alternating weekends. You will support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate medication therapy to patients in a long‑term acute care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, including tablets, capsules, and IV additives.
• Mix IV additive solutions using aseptic technique within a laminar airflow hood.
• Label medication containers, generate charge slips, and enter dispensing data into the computer system.
• Maintain inventory records, restock shelves, rotate stock, and log refrigerator temperatures.
• Prepare unit‑dose packaging, deliver IVs to clinical areas, and ensure proper disposal of non‑recyclable solutions.
• Generate production and inventory reports, and perform backup procedures as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken English with reliable attendance.
• Strong math and science aptitude; ability to calculate medication doses for adults and geriatrics.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
