Pharmacist – Pain Management

About the role
US Got People (USGP) is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist specialized in Pain Management to deliver high‑quality pharmaceutical care to military service members, veterans, and their families at the Naval Health Branch Clinic in Kings Bay, Georgia. This full‑time, onsite position works Monday‑Friday within a clinical ambulatory setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patient response to drug therapy and develop treatment plans based on diagnoses.
- Order and evaluate laboratory tests to monitor therapeutic outcomes.
- Initiate, adjust, or discontinue medications for chronic diseases in collaboration with medical staff.
- Manage pharmacotherapy requiring pharmacokinetic adjustments (e.g., phenytoin, aminoglycosides).
- Administer prescription and OTC medications per facility protocols.
- Order and manage therapeutic enteral/parenteral nutrition products.
- Evaluate medication histories for potential drug‑related problems.
- Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, nurses, and other providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform pharmacy procedures, medication verification, and patient profile reviews.
- Provide in‑service education to clinical staff on new medications and treatment updates.
- Support drug utilization reviews and adverse drug reaction reporting in compliance with standards.
Required profile
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE‑accredited program.
- Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by ASHP or ACCP, or equivalent experience.
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Minimum 12 months of clinical pharmacist experience in an ambulatory care setting within the past 36 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current immunizations: Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, TB test, Seasonal Influenza, COVID‑19 (if applicable).
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Clinical pharmacy residency/fellowship experience.
- Pharmacokinetic medication management.
- Drug utilization review (DUR) and adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting.
