About the role
NYU Langone Health is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join the Orthopedic Center in Manhattan. The role involves ensuring safe medication management, providing drug information, and delivering vaccinations in a high‑performing academic medical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Dispense medications in compliance with NYU Langone Health policies and New York State Pharmacy Laws.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and inventory control, including monthly Veriform assignments.
- Provide drug information and consultation to patients, clinicians, and health‑care providers.
- Administer approved vaccinations according to state regulations.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Assist management with waste, fraud, and abuse investigations.
- Document clinical interventions and complete annual competency assessments.
- Guide pharmacy students and support professional development activities.
Required profile
- Active New York State pharmacist license.
- Knowledge of NYS Pharmacy Laws and federal regulations.
- Experience with pharmacy inventory management and medication dispensing.
- Ability to provide drug information and patient counseling.
- Commitment to 15 hours of continuing education annually.
Required skills

- Proficiency in pharmacy inventory and record‑keeping systems.
- Vaccination administration skills.
