About the role

SpartanNash is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join its Warsaw, Indiana pharmacy. The position offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and involves both prescription dispensing and customer counseling in a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
• Compound, count, weigh, mix, package, and label medications in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Provide medication counseling on prescription and over‑the‑counter products, including dosage, interactions, side effects, and storage.
• Order, receive, and manage pharmacy inventory, perform cycle counts, and handle expired or damaged items per guidelines.
• Maintain pharmacy records, including customer profiles, insurance forms, POS system data, and controlled‑substance registries.
• Lead and supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure efficient service.
• Communicate any concerns to the Pharmacy Manager and uphold company standards for cleanliness and compliance.
• Support pharmacy programs such as security measures, immunizations, and other clinical services as assigned.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist able to dispense prescriptions accurately and ethically.
• Strong knowledge of medication counseling and pharmacy regulations.
• Capability to oversee pharmacy technicians and maintain inventory control.
