Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist – New Jersey

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to promote its Dry Eye ocular health portfolio across New Jersey. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent travel to build relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive territory growth and achieve sales targets through strategic account planning.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with eye‑care providers and key decision‑makers.
• Educate customers on Alcon’s pharmaceutical products and support adoption through clinical discussions.
• Execute territory business plans, conduct in‑person visits, and deliver presentations, speaker programs, and events.
• Identify growth opportunities using market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
• Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access, Marketing, and Regional Sales Leadership.
• Utilize data and insights to create account strategies that drive results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or high school + 10 years, Associate + 6 years, M.S.).
• Minimum 2 years proven sales experience in pharmaceutical or medical devices.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Residence within the New Jersey territory.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
