Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist – Louisville

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Glaucoma Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to cover a large territory in Louisville, KY. The role is field‑based, focusing on building disease awareness, supporting patient access, and driving sales growth for eye‑care products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory plan to grow sales across the Louisville area.
• Build disease awareness with physicians and practitioners, and understand treatment initiation processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on prior authorizations, payor restrictions, and reimbursement issues.
• Maintain compliant, medically relevant programs to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Visit and manage relationships with all assigned customers, including opinion leaders and key accounts.
• Coordinate trainings, product presentations, and educational events.
• Prospect new accounts, identify growth opportunities, and track account metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 10 years, associate + 6 years, M.S. + 0 years).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work in the Louisville, KY territory (remote field‑based).
