Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Glaucoma Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to cover the Montgomery, AL territory. You will be the primary point of contact for physicians and eye‑care practitioners, driving disease awareness and supporting patient access to Alcon’s eye‑care solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build disease awareness with key partners and understand treatment initiation processes.
• Collaborate on prior authorizations, payor restrictions, reimbursement, and patient referrals.
• Manage the sales budget and grow sales through a strategic territory plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, opinion leaders, and community organizations.
• Implement compliant, medically relevant programs to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Visit all customers in the territory according to their potential and importance.
• Negotiate, develop solutions, and manage accounts across all business aspects.
• Organise and participate in meetings, congresses, round‑tables, and training events.
• Create action plans to achieve sales targets and track performance metrics.
• Prospect new accounts and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 years, associate + 6 years, M.S. + 0 years).
• Fluent English reading, writing and communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Willingness to work in the Montgomery, AL territory.
• No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
