Performance Leader - 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Performance Leader for the 2nd shift to drive productivity and quality within its Industrial Group. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee the Machine Shop and Assembly & Test departments at the East Aurora, NY facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of A&T technicians and machinists to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
• Identify, implement, and measure short‑term department objectives aligned with the company’s strategic plan.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager on lean initiatives to improve profitability, capacity, and reduce lead times.
• Ensure maximum utilization of personnel and equipment while controlling costs.
• Maintain accurate production records, employee time reports, and overtime tracking.
• Promote a safe, clean work environment and conduct daily inspections for hazards or equipment issues.

Required profile

• Strong self‑initiative with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience evaluating personnel, setting goals, and providing coaching or corrective feedback.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop technical teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
