Per Diem Registered Nurse – Pediatric Clinic

About the role

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide patient‑centered care in its Pediatric Clinic. The role involves comprehensive nursing responsibilities, from assessment to evaluation, within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and document patient health data using appropriate assessment techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with physicians or nurse practitioners.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high‑quality patient care.
• Participate in unit activities, practice councils, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Apply NY State Nurse Practice Act guidelines for delegation and assignment.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric nursing (or equivalent med/surg experience).
• Demonstrated commitment to NYU Langone Health core values and patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced ambulatory care environment.
