People Operations Coordinator

About the role

MatrixSpace is seeking a collaborative and highly organized People Operations Coordinator to support the rapid growth of its AI‑enabled radar and sensing business. You will be the central point for recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and day‑to‑day HR operations, helping to create a seamless employee experience from candidate to colleague.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting for 10+ open positions, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Own and continuously improve the onboarding process for new hires across all locations.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, company events, recognition programs, and culture‑building activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems with strict confidentiality.
• Assist with benefits administration, employee communications, and general HR operations.
• Serve as a go‑to resource for employees on HR‑related questions and processes.
• Identify opportunities to scale people programs as the company expands.
• Occasional travel to the Hoffman Estates office.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, or a related field.
• Proven ability to coordinate hiring processes, schedule interviews, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional handling of sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, service‑oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership of projects.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
