Pediatric Sonographer Supervisor

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Pediatric Sonographer Supervisor in Orlando, Florida, on a full-time day shift. The supervisor manages the sonography staff, including day-to-day operations, scheduling and coordination, and also acts as a sonographer alongside supervisory duties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sonography staff, including hiring, evaluating, terminating, educating and orienting them
• Measure and track performance levels
• Revise or create new procedures to optimize patient care or workflow
• Organize and lead meetings as needed and coordinate with other practices when patient load or vacation schedules require it
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulations
• Provide training and development opportunities for staff
• Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies, and resolve staff and patient issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required

Required skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, basic physics, patient care and medical ethics
• Effective communication with patients, co-workers and physicians

Pay range: $35.05 - $65.19. Positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting.
