Pediatric Epileptologist (BC/BE)

About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible pediatric neurologist with fellowship training in epilepsy to join a growing, multidisciplinary team in New Orleans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric epilepsy care, including outpatient clinic and inpatient monitoring.
• Collaborate with subspecialists in stroke, neuro‑intensive care, movement disorders, pain management, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, and neuroimaging.
• Lead the epilepsy clinic and coordinate EEG and EMU services.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for pediatric neurology emergencies.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives, research projects, and multi‑center clinical trials.
• Teach medical students and residents from Tulane University and the University of Queensland.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible pediatric neurologist with fellowship training in epilepsy.
• Open to recent graduates as well as experienced physicians.
• Commitment to compassionate, inclusive patient care.
• Willingness to engage in teaching and research activities.

Required skills

• Expertise in pediatric epilepsy diagnosis and management.
• Proficiency in EEG interpretation.
• Familiarity with anti‑seizure medication regimens.
• Ability to work effectively in a high‑volume, multidisciplinary pediatric hospital.
