About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a PC Planner II to lead high‑complexity manufacturing line scheduling in Austin, TX. The role focuses on balancing business demand, material constraints and capacity to ensure on‑time delivery across multiple production lines.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and control multi‑line manufacturing schedules, considering demand, material constraints and capacity.
- Own tool configuration, slotting and NPMA (Non‑Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation.
- Design efficient production lines to optimize responsiveness, inventory and workload.
- Monitor line performance and drive KPI improvements such as OTD, EOP, cycle time and SOE.
- Support manufacturing capacity fulfillment and allocate training periods.
- Serve as primary contact for Product Support, field manufacturing activities, retrofit projects and R&D needs.
- Manage option build plan cycles and home‑tool support activities.
Required profile
- Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in manufacturing planning and the ability to broaden capabilities.
- Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily work.
- Informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibility.
- Problem‑solving skills for straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment.
- Impact on own work quality and that of the team while operating within guidelines.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly in routine contexts.
