PC Planner II – B2 Weld Operations

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, designing and servicing cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The PC Planner II – B2 Weld Operations role supports production planning, inventory control and material resources planning for the Austin facility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Oracle work order release schedule to ensure on‑time material delivery to manufacturing and engineering.
• Perform pre‑shortage analysis, work order variance analysis and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) throughout their lifecycle.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling and PDS requirements.
• Conduct inventory control activities, analyze usage data, forecast spare parts needs and manage obsolete inventory.
• Participate in floor audits, resolve WIP issues, and attend production meetings to report material shortage status.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in production planning and material control.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily tasks.
• Ability to provide informal guidance to new team members.
• Problem‑solving skills for straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment.

Required skills

• Oracle work order management.
• Material Resources Planning (MRP) systems.
