About the role
The Payroll Services Administrator, reporting to general supervision, performs complex administrative duties supporting monthly and bi‑weekly payroll cycles for Texas A&M University. This position ensures accurate supplemental payroll inputs, retro‑pay calculations, and compliance with federal deposit requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Process bi‑weekly and monthly supplemental payroll inputs and on‑demand payments for all employees.
- Review and process the Workday Retro Pay report, ensuring retro‑pay and benefit calculations are correct.
- Prepare and submit timely IRS deposits after each payroll run.
- Calculate and issue termination pay accurately.
- Maintain payroll records and support audit inquiries as needed.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, including bi‑weekly and monthly cycles.
- Familiarity with retro‑pay processing and benefit calculations.
- Knowledge of IRS payroll tax deposit requirements.
- Ability to handle termination pay calculations and related documentation.
