Payment Services Consultant/Expert – Level 3 Support

About the role

The Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) team is seeking a seasoned Payment Services Consultant/Expert to provide Level 3 technical support for its suite of payment solutions, including FedLine®, Fedwire®, FedACH®, and FedNow®. This role is essential to ensure smooth day‑to‑day processing, system upgrades, and new product initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support, requirements development, design review, and testing for daily processing and system enhancements.
• Maintain deep understanding of business operations, workflow, and associated application platforms.
• Collaborate with Business Operations and Product Development teams, offering consultative and development expertise.
• Assess impact of system changes on workflow and performance, and translate complex changes into actionable technical solutions.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans to prevent internal or external customer issues.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing platforms and propose viable improvements.
• Develop business requirements, design documentation, test cases, and use cases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in payment services or related financial technology environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and improve complex workflows.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across operations and product teams.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
