Patient Services Associate – Anesthesia

About the role

The Patient Services Associate provides clerical and direct patient care support to the Anesthesia unit’s Patient Management Team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other licensed professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with grooming, oral hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Document vital signs, ADLs, wave tests, I&O, and other patient care tasks promptly.
• Support nursing duties such as bulk storage processing, peripheral sticks, pod audits, blood culture processing, and glucometer checks.
• Act as a preceptor for new patient care technicians and assist the charge nurse with assigned duties.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges, and transport patients within the hospital.
• Communicate patient requests, complaints, and status updates to the RN and team members.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow delegated patient‑care activities.
