Patient Coordinator

About the role

The Patient Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between patients and the dental team, handling calls, scheduling, and financial education to support optimal oral health.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, collect co‑pay payments, and update patient accounts.
  • Coordinate schedules with dentists and hygienists to meet patient needs.
  • Maintain the patient care database with up‑to‑date information.
  • Direct arriving patients to waiting areas and provide expected wait times.
  • Follow health and safety policies to prevent the spread of bloodborne or airborne diseases.

Required profile

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and communication skills.
  • Organized, patient, and able to greet patients with a smile.
  • Proficient with computer use.
