Patient Care Technician – Medical Oncology (Day Shift)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Medical Oncology team on the day shift. This position supports oncology patients by delivering direct care under the supervision of nursing staff and contributes to the department’s mission of improving patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and assistance to oncology patients during the day shift.
• Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks, including vital signs, specimen collection, and patient transport.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support treatment plans.

Required profile

• Current employee, student employee, or graduate assistant of the University of Arkansas System.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work the designated day shift in an oncology setting.
