Patient Advocate

About the role

Amaze Health provides concierge-style virtual care, and is looking for a compassionate Patient Advocate to join its Denver office. You will guide patients through the healthcare system, making insurance and care processes clear and less stressful. The position is in-person at the Denver Tech Center office, with regular attendance required.

Key responsibilities

• Explain insurance coverage and costs in everyday language
• Support patients through denials and appeals, handling paperwork and updates
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations so patients can access care smoothly
• Offer empathetic support by phone, chat or email and work with teams to resolve patient issues
• Find creative, patient-centered solutions to emerging challenges in virtual care

Required profile

• At least 4 years in a hospital or health insurance setting, with direct experience in insurance processes, including financial counseling, patient financial services and insurance follow-up
• Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
• Tech-savvy, with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information carefully

What we offer

• Pay of $58,000 - $75,000 per year
