Patient Access Representative – Part‑Time Weekends (Admitting)

About the role

Kingman Healthcare is seeking a part‑time Patient Access Representative to work weekends in the Main Admitting area. The role focuses on completing patient registration, verifying benefits, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate data entry in the electronic health record.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑line customer service, answer calls, and direct inquiries from patients and staff.
• Pre‑register, register, schedule, and discharge patients while verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining pre‑authorizations.
• Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and deposits, and balance daily cash logs.
• Scan and attach required documents (insurance cards, IDs, physician orders) to the EHR.
• Assist financial counselors with account explanations and support process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer‑service or healthcare registration/billing role.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Experience using insurance eligibility and audit tools.
• Basic computer skills, including phone systems, scanners, and standard office software.
