Patient Access Representative – Full-Time (Days)

About the role

Kingman Healthcare Inc. seeks a Patient Access Representative for its Palliative Clinic. The role supports KHI’s vision of delivering kind, high‑quality health care by completing patient registration, verifying benefits, collecting payments and maintaining accurate electronic health records.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, answer calls, and address patient and staff inquiries.
• Register, preregister, schedule, reschedule and discharge patients according to guidelines, including insurance eligibility checks and pre‑authorizations.
• Collect co‑pays, deductibles and manage patient balances, ensuring daily cash is balanced and reported.
• Perform quality audits of registrations, handle account denials and support process‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training new staff, supervise PAR team members and participate in hiring and performance evaluations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare registration/billing.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization and communication skills.
• Ability to use telephone, computer hardware and various software programs throughout the shift.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Experience using insurance eligibility and audit tools.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, scanning and faxing.
