Pathogen Lab Analyst – 3rd Shift

About the role

Certified Group is seeking a Pathogen Lab Analyst for the 3rd shift to perform analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients and environmental samples.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately perform and read microbiological test results and report deviations.
• Prepare and analyze samples for indicator organisms, pathogens and related chemistries.
• Apply aseptic and microbiological techniques throughout daily workload.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and perform routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with quality duties such as incubator temperature checks, control organism inoculation and media controls.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Life Sciences or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Two or more years of experience in a commercial food‑testing or analytical laboratory.
• Working knowledge of aseptic sampling, automated laboratory equipment and accepted microbiological methods.
• Familiarity with GLP, OSHA, FDA, BAM, APHA, ISO and USP guidelines.
• Ability to travel when necessary.
