Patent Prosecution & Litigation Associate – Electrical Engineering & Software

About the role

Womble Bond Dickinson’s Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group is seeking a mid‑to‑senior associate to work on the Electrical Engineering & Software team. The role involves drafting and prosecuting patents and handling related litigation matters for clients in high‑tech sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software domains.
• Support litigation matters and provide strategic IP counsel.
• Collaborate with technical experts on AI/ML, semiconductor, and medical device projects.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of IP experience, including patent drafting and prosecution.
• Licensed to practice law (or able to become licensed promptly) in the relevant state.
• Member of the USPTO.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
