Pastry Chef

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department, uphold high culinary standards, and continuously innovate our dessert menu. The role involves hands‑on preparation, team leadership, and close collaboration with culinary and F&B leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with culinary and F&B leaders to set and maintain exemplary pastry standards.
• Supervise daily procurement, inventory checks, and proper storage of pastry ingredients.
• Maintain rigorous product quality control, minimizing waste and spoilage.
• Ensure all cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and opening/closing checklists are completed each day.
• Develop and implement new menu items in coordination with the Executive Chef.
• Organise kitchen workflow efficiently to meet daily restaurant covers.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and safe handling by culinary staff.
• Guarantee consistency in taste, temperature, visual appeal, and portion sizes for all pastry items.
• Comply with all government, safety, health, and security standards.

Required profile

• Culinary degree or equivalent pedigree preferred.
• 4‑5 years of pastry experience in large, world‑class resorts, hotels, or clubs.
• Proven expertise in pastry and dessert preparation.
• Experience sourcing local, seasonal ingredients.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
