Part‑Time Teller – Customer Service & Cash Handling

About the role

Santander is seeking a part‑time teller to join its Dedham branch. In this role you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly service while handling a variety of banking transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, minimize wait times and address their banking needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cash drawer balances and follow all cash‑handling procedures.
• Adhere to bank policies, compliance and risk‑management protocols to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and refer customers to appropriate products.
• Assist customers with digital self‑service tools and educate them on usage.
• Support branch audits, custodial duties and other operational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months demonstrated customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fundamental math skills for cash transactions.
