Part‑Time Substitute Educator (Norton Elementary)

About the role

Right At School delivers before‑ and after‑school programs that blend learning with fun, supporting local districts and families. The substitute educator will join a mission‑driven team that inspires a love of learning while providing a safe, engaging environment for students at Norton Elementary.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, and ensure team accountability.
• Prepare and lead structured activities, fitness sessions, and curriculum that align with program objectives.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain a safe, nurturing atmosphere.
• Monitor the environment for hazards, follow safety protocols, and document attendance and incidents.
• Communicate clearly with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Team‑player with at least one year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lb and meet Georgia state requirements, including First Aid and CPR certification.
• Minimum age of 18 and a high‑school diploma or GED.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
