About the role

The Department of Juvenile Justice in Georgia is seeking a part‑time Recruiter to support staffing needs across its facilities. The role involves coordinating job fairs, posting vacancies and sourcing candidates for hard‑to‑fill positions. Work is hourly and may include occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Determine staffing needs by meeting with managers and HR staff.
• Develop recruitment plans and innovative sourcing strategies.
• Build applicant pools through outreach to community services, colleges, military installations and other partners.
• Post job announcements and manage applications using the Team Ga Careers applicant tracker.
• Screen candidates, conduct interviews and fill hard‑to‑fill positions.
• Coordinate and attend job fairs and other recruitment events.
• Provide HR policy consultation to managers.
• Maintain knowledge of recruiting best practices through professional development.

Required profile

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years of experience in human resources or recruiting.
• Ability to travel occasionally for job fairs or site visits.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required skills

• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Team Ga Careers).
• Knowledge of recruiting techniques for military, law‑enforcement, or government positions.
