Part‑Time Receptionist – Orland Park

About the role

This part‑time receptionist position supports a busy medical office in Orland Park. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing courteous service and helping them navigate the visit process. The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and transfer calls to the appropriate individual or department.
• Greet patients upon arrival and determine the reason for their visit.
• Explain required paperwork, tests, products, and services, and communicate expected time frames.
• Review patient information carefully, showing patience and courtesy to all patients.
• Process insurance claims and enter patient orders into the system.
• Consult with the Managing Doctor or Retail manager when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a retail or customer‑facing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Sales orientation and ability to handle difficult situations with patience.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
