Part‑Time Lecturer in IT & Cybersecurity

About the role

The Southern California Institute of Technology seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach diploma and bachelor courses in Information Technology, Information Systems and Cybersecurity. The role involves delivering content both online (asynchronous and synchronous) and, when needed, in a classroom or lab setting.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct students on topics such as Linux, networking fundamentals, Cisco (CCNA), cybersecurity (CYSA+), ethical hacking, computer forensics, web technologies, databases, and cloud computing (AWS).
• Develop lesson plans, assessments and instructional materials aligned with course objectives.
• Assess student work, provide timely feedback, and proctor exams.
• Maintain accurate grade records and communicate regularly with administrative staff.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum and collaborative decisions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, IS, Cybersecurity or a closely related field.
• At least five years of professional experience in the relevant technology domains.
• Strong presentation and public‑speaking abilities.
• Teaching experience at an accredited college is strongly preferred.
