Part‑Time Information Systems Worker

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Information Systems Worker to provide frontline technical support to end users. This temporary position supports the Americus campus and helps maintain smooth operation of software and application services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about available technology resources.
• Initiate and maintain customer support for computer software and application services.
• Troubleshoot routine problems and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel.
• Instruct customers on correct procedures, special requirements, and required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Information Officer.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work‑related experience in information technology.
• Knowledge of computer software configuration and customization.
• Understanding of tools and techniques for diagnosing and resolving software and hardware problems.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
