About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Forklift Operator to join its Scott, LA service center. You will work on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock moving freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Handle various types of freight, ensuring proper placement and secure transport.
- Read and follow manifests and computer‑based instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the dock.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Some LTL (Less‑Than‑Truckload) experience is a plus.
