Part‑Time Faculty – Adjunct Teaching Supervisor

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a Part‑Time Faculty member to serve as an Adjunct Teaching Supervisor. This role supports candidates enrolled in a one‑year supervised residency, ensuring high‑quality instruction and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing clinical supervision and evaluation for residency candidates.
• Travel to partner school districts to conduct a minimum of three formal observations each semester.
• Lead pre‑conference sessions to review lesson plans and instructional goals.
• Conduct formal classroom observations.
• Facilitate post‑conference discussions focused on feedback, reflection, and professional development.
• Collaborate with mentor teachers and program faculty to align candidate progress with program expectations.

Required profile

• Valid Arkansas teaching license.
• At least three years of P‑12 teaching experience.
• Completion of Cognitive Coaching training.
• Completion of TESS (Teacher Excellence and Support System) training.
