Part‑Time English Tutor

About the role

The Learning Assistance Center at University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College is looking for a part‑time English Tutor. The tutor will work directly with students, both individually and in small groups, to strengthen their reading, writing and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group tutoring in English, composition, reading, grammar, literature and related subjects.
• Assist students through all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming to proofreading.
• Help improve reading comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary and study techniques.
• Teach proper use of MLA, APA and other citation formats.
• Support students in understanding assignments while upholding academic integrity.
