Part‑Time Driver’s Education Instructor (ED‑2)

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks a part‑time Driver’s Education Instructor (ED‑2) to deliver classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training. You will help students become safe, responsible drivers while complying with Georgia traffic laws and Joshua’s Law.

Key responsibilities

• Teach state‑approved driver education classroom courses using approved curriculum.
• Provide one‑on‑one behind‑the‑wheel instruction in a certified driver‑education vehicle.
• Instruct students on vehicle operation, defensive driving, traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
• Maintain accurate student performance records and required documentation.
• Foster a safe, positive, and professional learning environment.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license held for at least ten (10) years.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, pre‑employment and random drug testing.
• Completion of a state‑approved Driver Education Instructor Qualification course and passing all required examinations.
