About the role

Join Savannah Technical College as a part‑time Café Assistant, supporting daily operations of the campus café. You will serve students, faculty, staff, and visitors while helping create a welcoming learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the café, following standard procedures.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and light menu items.
• Receive, display, and merchandise baked goods produced by Baking and Pastry students.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system and accurately process transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, dining area, and service stations.
• Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and ensure food safety compliance.
• Assist with catering, campus events, and special culinary showcases as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe Manager certification.
• At least 2 years of entry‑level hospitality experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
