About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Biology Lab Assistant to support faculty at Chattahoochee Technical College during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves preparing laboratory spaces, setting up equipment, and assisting with experiments in biology and chemistry courses.

Key responsibilities

Prepare lab stations, materials, and equipment for scheduled classes.
Assist faculty during laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Maintain inventory of chemicals, specimens, and supplies.
Clean and sanitize work areas after each session.
Document lab usage and report any issues to the department.

Required profile

Successful completion of BIOL2113/BIOL2113L, BIOL2114/BIOL2114L, and BIOL2117/BIOL2117L with at least a “B” in the lab component.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Basic computer literacy.

Required skills

Laboratory preparation and safety procedures.

What we offer

Hourly wage of $12 with a maximum of 26 hours per week.
