Part‑time Advisor – Utility Commission Strategy

About the role

Comity is seeking a part‑time Advisor to shape its engagement with state utility commissions and accelerate adoption of its credit‑management solutions. The advisor will translate regulatory priorities into product positioning and help the company navigate complex utility‑commission environments.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on regulatory positioning, articulating how the product supports commission goals.
• Guide regulatory engagement by refining communication, anticipating concerns, and identifying key stakeholders.
• Translate emerging commission signals into actionable product and market adjustments.
• Leverage an extensive network to open doors with commissions, utilities, and energy‑policy organizations.

Required profile

• Senior experience at a state utility commission or in regulatory affairs/policy leadership at an electric utility or IPP.
• Deep, active relationships across commissions, utilities, and policy makers.
• Understanding of how commissions evaluate reliability, liquidity, credit exposure, and rate‑payer protection.
• Experience in markets with high renewable and storage penetration.
• Ability to turn regulatory insight into clear, actionable recommendations.
