Part‑Time Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

CRI‑Help, a nonprofit substance‑use disorder treatment center, is seeking a detail‑oriented Part‑Time Accounts Payable Specialist. You will manage vendor invoices and employee reimbursements, ensuring accurate recording and timely payments while supporting the organization’s financial compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, coding them to the correct general‑ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Verify authorizations and supporting documentation for all payables.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accounts‑payable records in line with audit and compliance requirements.
• Assist auditors during annual financial audits by providing required documentation.
• Communicate with program staff and vendors to answer inquiries and resolve billing issues.
• Prepare backup documentation for weekly check runs and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of nonprofit bookkeeping systems.
• At least 12 college‑level accounting units preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum three years of accounts‑payable experience.
• Willingness to undergo random drug screenings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains or comparable accounting software.

What we offer

• Hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $30.00.
• Part‑time, non‑exempt position with regular staff training.
• On‑site work in North Hollywood, CA.
