Part-time Surgical Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Sugar Land, TX)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cosmetic surgery practice in Sugar Land, Texas. The role combines operating‑room first‑assist duties with aesthetic procedural work, allowing you to support surgeons and independently perform minor cosmetic treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as a First Assist in the operating room, including scrubbing, suturing, and circulating duties.
• See patients pre‑ and post‑operatively for consultations and follow‑up care.
• Perform minor aesthetic procedures within your scope of practice such as neurotoxins, fillers, laser treatments, excisional biopsies, and moderate sedation.
• Support compliance efforts related to AAAHC accreditation and maintain patient safety standards.
• Provide flexible early‑morning coverage (starting at 6:30 AM) and travel to other practice locations as needed.

Required profile

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with documented First Assist experience.
• Passion for the operating room and a strong desire to treat patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and make analytical decisions.
• Interest in both surgical and aesthetic medicine.

Required skills

• First‑assist and circulating OR nurse experience.
• Suturing and wound closure techniques.
• Moderate sedation administration.
• Proficiency with neurotoxins (e.g., Botox) and dermal fillers (e.g., Juvederm).
• Laser procedures, dermapen, skin tightening, body contouring, and non‑surgical facial augmentations.
• Excisional biopsies and other minor surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of sclerotherapy, IPL photofacial, ViPeel, chemical peels, and Oxygen Rx facial treatments.
