Part-Time Substitute Teacher

About the role
CJDS is looking for reliable and caring part‑time substitute teachers to support classrooms from Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade on an as‑needed basis.
Key responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student behavior and support student learning
- Communicate any issues or updates to school leadership as needed
Required profile
- Prior experience working with children, ideally in a classroom setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to follow written lesson plans and keep students on task
- Flexibility and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Hebrew or Judaism is not required
