Part-Time Registered Nurse – Main Pre‑Op

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work in the Main Pre‑Op area, providing patient education, coordinating care, and supporting self‑management for individuals with chronic conditions. This part‑time position is based at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and document patient assessment data and develop individualized Plans of Care.
• Administer medications, coordinate prescription refills, and provide patient/family education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, and document care accurately.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, BSN, or MSN) with a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience; preferred ICU/ED/PACU experience.

Required skills

• Patient assessment and care planning.
• Medication administration following the Nurse Practice Act.
