Part-Time Physical Therapist – Acute Care

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a part‑time Physical Therapist to join its acute‑care team. In this role you will provide direct patient care, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to improve outcomes for hospitalized patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional status and develop evidence‑based therapy plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and gait training.
• Document assessments, treatments, and progress in the electronic health record.
• Communicate patient status and treatment goals with physicians, nurses, and other team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Arkansas.
• Graduated from an accredited PT program.
• Ability to work part‑time shifts in an acute‑care environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
