Part-Time Nursing Faculty - Stockbridge

About the role

Covista, the parent of Chamberlain University, is hiring a part-time nursing faculty member in Stockbridge, GA. The role shapes the next generation of healthcare providers through nursing education in classroom, online and clinical settings, including flexible evening and weekend classes. It covers teaching, student evaluation, mentoring, committee work and service and scholarship activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing courses (classroom, online, clinical, lab, simulation) with engaging, evidence-based learning
• Contribute to and implement course curriculum and teaching materials
• Evaluate students, give feedback and remediation, and lead or partner on clinical learning
• Support students and new faculty, and take part in committees, graduation and program evaluation
• Engage in scholarly activities and keep subject-matter and teaching skills current
• Follow student policies and complete other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Master's degree in nursing; PhD in a field appropriate to teaching preferred
• Current, unencumbered Georgia nursing license (or eligibility to obtain it)
• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Experience preparing to teach the assigned courses

Required skills

• Learning management systems, simulation equipment and online platforms, with growing ability to work with AI
• Communication, conflict management and emotional intelligence
