About the role

The Part-Time Media Replay Operator I works within ESPN's Studio Operations Sports group, handling the organization, recording, editing, and playback of server‑based media for live and pre‑recorded productions. The role ensures all video and audio content meets ESPN’s high quality standards while supporting a fast‑paced studio environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate broadcast equipment and manage server content for recording and playback during control‑room productions.
• Edit instant‑replay and non‑linear media, applying ESPN’s naming conventions and quality controls.
• Measure audio and video signals to verify compliance with ESPN standards.
• Train colleagues and create documentation for operational procedures.
• Participate in training programs, special event coverage, and cross‑departmental projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of practical TV production or related experience at a large‑market or network level.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Strong organizational, planning, and independent‑working skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and effective communication abilities.
