Part-time & Limited Term Faculty – Molecular & Cellular Biology

About the role

Kennesaw State University is seeking qualified candidates for a pool of part‑time, limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions are open‑rank and will be filled on a semester‑by‑semester, as‑needed basis to teach undergraduate courses.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate lectures and laboratory sections in introductory biology, cell biology, genetics, and related subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, assignments, and assessments in line with departmental standards.
• Supervise laboratory activities, ensure safety compliance, and evaluate student performance.
• Engage students through inquiry‑based learning and provide academic advising as required.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and other faculty duties.

Required profile

• Relevant academic credentials (typically a Ph.D. or equivalent) in molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics, or a closely related field.
• Eligibility to work in the state of Georgia.
• Ability to teach on a semester‑by‑semester, as‑needed basis with flexibility in scheduling.
