Part-time & Limited Term Faculty – Elementary Education

About the role

Kennesaw State University is seeking qualified candidates for a pool of part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Appointments are made on a semester‑by‑semester basis and rank will be determined at hire, commensurate with credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in elementary and early childhood education, including science education components.
• Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental service, meetings, and community outreach.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research or professional development as appropriate.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (M.Ed., Ed.S., Ph.D.) in elementary education, early childhood education, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level or equivalent professional experience.
• Eligibility to work in the state of Georgia.
• Commitment to serving diverse linguistic, cultural, and economic student populations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of elementary education pedagogy and curriculum design.
• Ability to assess student learning and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Familiarity with science education concepts for K‑12 learners.
