Part-time Lecturer – Child Development (Online)

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Department of Human Ecology seeks a part‑time Adjunct Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Child and Family Development through its online program. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction, supporting student field experiences, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach online undergraduate courses in child and family development.
• Provide quality instruction and assess student performance.
• Supervise student field experiences and maintain virtual office hours.
• Participate in curriculum development, including creating new courses.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Required profile

• Qualified adjunct faculty member with relevant academic background in child development or a related field.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and technology tools used for online teaching.
